Landing In Colandra
Background
The party has been asked by rogue members of the Unseen to investigate ancient sites for clues to the true origin of the gods, their so-called powers, and why they are no longer seen or heard from. They believe these sites contain items of great power that explain the supernatural abilities of the ancient gods, as well as the origins of people and animals on this planet. You are posing as a group of archaeologists, mapping and documenting sites whose locations and structures were lost during the millennium-long wars the gods waged between the Nations.
Several sites in the Chappen lands are rumored to be sacred and may hold answers. Officially, you have the right to visit them and carry documentation from the Unseen and the leaders of the Chappan Nation. These documents may not hold much sway with the people who actually live in or around the sites.
First Meeting
A small canoe makes its way out to the boat, and two men climb aboard to speak with the captain. They talk quietly but pleasantly. Before they leave, they point out a specific spot on the docks where the ship should land, then guide it in with the canoe. Once the ship is docked, the captain comes to find the party.
“I’ve told the Chappans you’re here in the service of the Unseen Court, so you’ll be able to travel the city freely. Still, observe their social customs and politely ask before entering warehouses—unless you have a good reason not to. You may trade with anyone willing, and you’ll be allowed to leave the city and travel into the lands beyond. Be respectful of their culture, and you should be fine. Good luck to you—it was a pleasure doing business.”

Initial Quests
1
Locate and map the Temple of Maple in the northern forests (the first of the seven major sites the party must find and map).
2
The Priestess is looking for someone to recover a sacred musical item (A painted bone flute) from a camp in the Northern forest. The Flute is a sacred part of the Healing Ritual performed in the spring to help the forest regrow and provide for the people that live along it’s southern edge. It does have some magical healing powers, but not enough to change the growth of the whole forest. But the people who stole it believe it could heal their tribe’s children. She asks the party to help because she fears the rest of the clergy will find out she lost it. She offers to go along and show them where she believes the thieves are staying. Then she can try to see if they can find a solution to the children’s sickness.
3
A local vender needs serval special tools ordered by a small tribe south of the northern forest delivered. This included horseshoes, knives and cooking pots. There is a nice payment involved.
4
- Rumor has it that a book of lore borrowed by the priests of the Temple of needs to be returned to one of the other Temples on your list to visit. (received from the boat captain)
